The Titleist Tour Van traveled to Greensboro, Georgia for the 41st PGA Professional National Championship, which is being contested at Reynolds Plantation. Over 300 PGA Professionals qualified for this prestigious event, with the Walter Hagen Cup going to the winner and automatic invitations to the 2008 PGA Championship at Oakland Hills reserved for the low 20 finishers. The Titleist tech team was out in full force helping the best PGA Professionals fine tune their equipment for the four-day event, which begins on June 19th. Check out the photo gallery highlighting the action from Reynolds Plantation on Tuesday and Wednesday.

With Titleist Golf Clubs operations headquartered in nearby Carlsbad, we have plenty of people both on site at Torrey Pines and at the Titleist Test Facility in Oceanside to help the players get ready for the U.S. Open. After finishing at The Players recently, Voke headed over to Japan for a few days to meet with the media and help out with the Japan PGA Championship, which was held at Raysum Golf & Spa Resort in Gunma. He ended up doing interviews with 15 different golf publications, and also got to work with a few of the Titleist ambassadors on the Japan Golf Tour at the event. We were on the ground during practice round days at THE PLAYERS Championship and there was already significant buzz about the new Vokey.com web site before it had even launched. Bob was on site at TPC Sawgrass and working the range making sure all his wedge players were set for the year’s “fifth major”, but he also found time to conduct interviews with Peter Kessler on XM Satellite Radio and PGATOUR.COM among others. Titleist is pleased to announce the launch of Vokey.com, a new website dedicated to the Vokey wedge enthusiast. This new site aims to provide wedge enthusiasts with a place to find information, updates and news on Bob Vokey, Vokey Design wedge products, wedge use by Titleist Tour players and wedge technology. Vokey.com will also feature two web stores: Vokey Store, featuring limited quantities of Vokey gear including headwear, clothing and accessories, and Wedge Works, offering small quantities of limited release wedges inspired by Bob’s work on the worldwide professional tours.
