Johnson and Leishman Trust Titleist in Winning Performances

Titleist Brand Ambassador Zach Johnson is a proven winner on the PGA Tour, and his performance at the Valero Texas Open demonstrated a trust in himself and his Titleist equipment. Johnson’s win is the third on the PGA Tour with a new 909 driver, which were introduced to the Tour in June and will debut in golf shops this November. Titleist ambassador Chez Reavie has generated a lot of attention by capturing his first PGA Tour victory at the RBC Canadian Open using a new Titleist 909 driver. Equally impressive, though, were the many delicate greenside shots he was able to perform throughout the week with his Vokey Design Spin Milled 60-M, which he has bent to 58°.

The 60-M is the wedge that started it all for Voke on Tour, and the M grind is the basis for many of the special grinds that have followed. The 60-M features a crescent shaped forward bounce surface with moderate width and very little camber for versatile performance from a variety of turf conditions and face angles. A limited number of Vokey Design 60-M wedges are currently available for customization and purchase through Wedge Works on Vokey.com.

Voke and the rest of Team Titleist sent over some more pictures from early in the week at The Open Championship. Looks like the weather has been a little off and on during the practice days…we’ll have to see what’s in store once the championship begins Thursday. Voke at The Open Championship

This week The Open Championship returns to Royal Birkdale for the ninth time and Bob Vokey is on-site, working with players and fine-tuning wedges for the unique demands of links golf. Be sure to view the photo gallery, with several shots taken straight from Bob’s Blackberry. We’re still trying to determine if the weather is really as dreary as it appears, or if Voke might have dropped the Blackberry in a water hazard at some point. (We’ll keep you posted.)

Voke at the AT&T National

Voke began a busy July schedule this week at the AT&T National at Congressional Country Club. After the AT&T, he heads over to the UK for the Barclays Scottish Open and Open Championship. After a week off of the Tour, he’ll end the month at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational a week before the PGA Championship. Be sure to view the photo gallery with Voke at Congressional.

The Titleist Tour Van traveled to Greensboro, Georgia for the 41st PGA Professional National Championship, which is being contested at Reynolds Plantation. Over 300 PGA Professionals qualified for this prestigious event, with the Walter Hagen Cup going to the winner and automatic invitations to the 2008 PGA Championship at Oakland Hills reserved for the low 20 finishers. The Titleist tech team was out in full force helping the best PGA Professionals fine tune their equipment for the four-day event, which begins on June 19th. Voke Visits Japan

After finishing at The Players recently, Voke headed over to Japan for a few days to meet with the media and help out with the Japan PGA Championship, which was held at Raysum Golf & Spa Resort in Gunma. He ended up doing interviews with 15 different golf publications, and also got to work with a few of the Titleist ambassadors on the Japan Golf Tour at the event. Bob Vokey at The PLAYERS

We were on the ground during practice round days at THE PLAYERS Championship and there was already significant buzz about the new Vokey.com web site before it had even launched. Bob was on site at TPC Sawgrass and working the range making sure all his wedge players were set for the year’s “fifth major”, but he also found time to conduct interviews with Peter Kessler on XM Satellite Radio and PGATOUR.COM among others.
