The Survey Says …

The counts are in and Titleist is once again the overwhelming favorite across several equipment categories at the PGA Championship, including golf balls, irons, wedges and putters.

Among the field of 156, Titleist is the #1 golf ball with 93 players, more than all other golf balls combined. A total of 57 players are relying upon the Pro V1x versus 36 with the Pro V1.

Titleist leads the way in iron sets with 39, including 17 AP2s, the most played individual model.

Over 40 percent of the sand, lob and approach wedges in play this week are Vokey Design models. With a total of 139, more than twice as many players are relying upon Vokey Design wedges for their short game success at Oakland Hills than the nearest competitor with 56.

The greens at Oakland Hills are the subject of a lot of talk among the players at the PGA Championship. A total of 58 of them are trusting Scotty Cameron designs this week, 18 more than the nearest competitor.

Titleist drivers are second in the count with 35 in play, including 16 new 909 models.
