Titleist ambassador Chez Reavie has generated a lot of attention by capturing his first PGA Tour victory at the RBC Canadian Open using a new Titleist 909 driver. Equally impressive, though, were the many delicate greenside shots he was able to perform throughout the week with his Vokey Design Spin Milled 60-M, which he has bent to 58°.
The 60-M is the wedge that started it all for Voke on Tour, and the M grind is the basis for many of the special grinds that have followed. The 60-M features a crescent shaped forward bounce surface with moderate width and very little camber for versatile performance from a variety of turf conditions and face angles. A limited number of Vokey Design 60-M wedges are currently available for customization and purchase through Wedge Works on Vokey.com.

With his victory at the RBC Canadian Open over the weekend, Titleist ambassador Chez Reavie became the first player to win on the PGA Tour with a Titleist 909 driver. Use of the Titleist 909 drivers has continued to grow each week since being introduced on Tour back in June, including 17 in play at the RBC Canadian Open. Other Titleist ambassadors to put a new 909 driver in play on Tour include: Zach Johnson, Ryuji Imada, Davis Love III, Arron Oberholser, Troy Matteson, Dudley Hart, Tom Pernice, Jr., Brett Quigley, Bill Haas, Nicholas Thompson, and Webb Simpson.
Titleist 909 drivers will be available in select golf shops in October, full product details will be available on Titleist.com in September.

Titleist ambassador Chez Reavie trusted a bag full of Titleist equipment (Pro V1x golf ball, 909 driver (coming in October), 906F2 fairway, Z Muscle Forged irons, Vokey Design wedges, Scotty Cameron putter) to capture the RBC Canadian Open in wire-to-wire fashion for his first PGA Tour title, closing with a 1-under 70 for a three-shot victory over fellow Titleist ambassador Billy Mayfair. Titleist Pro V1 player Camilo Villegas fired a second round five-under 65 at Royal Birkdale to get back to one-over for the championship and two strokes from the lead after 36 holes. Camilo’s round got off to a rough start with bogeys at the first two holes, but he made eight birdies over the final 16 holes, including the last five in a row. Titleist is represented at the 2008 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale by the following 17 full-line ambassadors from the worldwide professional tours. Click on each player’s photo below to see what Titleist equipment they’re carrying in their bags as they compete in the year’s third major.
Titleist equipment did very well in The Open Championship counts, according to information provided by the Darrell Survey. Out of the field of 156 contestants, 95 players are using Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf balls, and 30 Titleist drivers (including four from the new 909 family of drivers), 35 sets of Titleist irons, 130 Vokey Design wedges, and 49 Scotty Cameron putters are in play. Titleist is the leading equipment brand in the ball, irons, wedges, and putter categories, and finished second in drivers.
