What a year it’s been for George McNeill. After earning medalist honors and his Tour card at the 2006 Qualifying Tournament, the Titleist ambassador captured his first career victory in convincing fashion at last week’s Frys.com Open in Las Vegas. McNeill’s passion for the game, belief in himself and trust in his equipment from tee-to-green helped him realize his dream. It was only one year ago that McNeill was working in locker rooms as an assistant professional at a Florida country club and now he finds his locker among the best players in the world whenever he tees it up on the PGA Tour. We caught up with George a few months ago in Memphis to take a peek inside his locker. Check out the video below.
What’s in George McNeill’s Bag?
New Pro V1 golf ball
907D4 prototype driver (9.5)
906F2 fairway metal (15.0)
735.CM irons (2-P)
Vokey Design Spin Milled sand (56) and lob (60) wedges
Scotty Cameron putter

Thought we’d share a few more images from early in the week in Las Vegas. We got a chance to catch up with Titleist ambassadors Nick Watney, Dan Forsman, and Chris Kirk, another of our new young guns. Chris has the following Titleist equipment in the bag: Pro V1 golf balls, 907D4 prototype driver (8.5°, Mitsubishi Diamana 73 shaft), 906F4 fairways (13.5° & 18.5°, Mitsubishi Diamana 83 shafts), 690.CB 3 & 4 irons (Dynamic Gold shafts), 670 irons (5-9, Dynamic Gold shafts), Vokey Design prototype wedges (49°, 56° 61°, Dynamic Gold shafts), and Scotty Cameron by Titleist prototype putter. We’ll try to get some pictures of Chris’ bag soon.

Titleist ambassador and Frys.com Open defending champion Troy Matteson had his title defense get off to a rough start when he broke both his 907D2 driver and one of his 906F4 fairways during Tuesday’s practice round. Troy was riding in a golf cart, which players were permitted to use during practice rounds this week, when his clubs got caught up in a fairway rope he was attempting to pass under. Luckily, the Titleist Tour Van was able to get Troy set back up with some gamers for Thursday’s opening round.
