Adam Scott at the Deutsche Bank Championship

Adam Scott is ranked 9th this week in the PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs. We caught up with him during a practice round at the Deutsche Bank Championship. He’ll be looking to make a big move this week in the playoff points race as he’s enjoyed tremendous success in the four-year history of the Deutsche Bank Championship, having won the inaugural event in 2003 and finishing runner-up in 2004. When does the mesh fitted hat Adam is wearing come out?
The hat will be in golf shops in late September or early October.
Is the hat going to be the exact style as Adam’s? Which colors, and fitted I hope?
Just like the hats that Adam has been wearing, available in black or white.
Is Adam playing the 907D2 or 907D4?
Adam has been using the 905R since the AT&T National in July.
How does the 907D2 compare to the 905R in terms of spin rate?
With its tapered face insert, the 907D2 launches slightly higher and spins slightly less than the 905R.
Has Adam tried the Matrix shafts in his drivers? I have heard that Titleist will not approve these shafts for Tour use? Is that true?
There are a number of Matrix shafts approved for Titleist Tour use. The approved shafts include the Ozik TP-7 & TP-7x, Ozik Altus Hybrid, MFS Woven LT & HT, MFS 65P, 65N and 40+. There are also a number of Matrix shafts currently in the testing cycle.
When can we expect to see the new staff bags that Adam Scott and some other Titleist ambassadors are using?
The new bags will be available in golf shops in early 2008.
What will this hat be called so I know when it comes out for purchase?
The hat style is A-FLEX Flexible Fit Sports Mesh, style #AF8-13.
Why does Adam use a 48° Vokey wedge instead of the 695MB pitching wedge?
