Titleist at the Deutsche Bank Championship

August 28th, 2007

It is a rather quiet Tuesday due to the Deutsche Bank Championship’s Monday finish, but the Titleist Tour Blog met up with a number of Titleist players getting ready for week two of the Fed Ex Cup playoffs. Be sure to check out the slide show.

Titleist ambassador Zach Johnson spent some time on the range Tuesday at the Deutsche Bank Championship at the TPC Boston.

Thank you for the great pictures. It was cool to see what George has in his bag. Can you tell us what clubs and shafts he is using? Thanks and keep up the great work!

George is using a 907D4 prototype driver with 9.5° loft and a Grafalloy prototype shaft, a 15° 906F2 fairway metal with a Grafalloy Proto Comp NT shaft, 735.CM irons (2-P) with True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts, Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges (56°, 60°) with Dynamic Gold shafts, and a Scotty Cameron by Titleist prototype putter.

I believe I know why Nick Watney’s nickname is RUBE. It’s from a movie where this guy named Rube was shy and softspoken and Nick’s friends thought it suited his personality. Am i right?

It is from the movie Major League 2. You are right on the money with the description.
