“Da Voke” Visits Scotland
July 24th, 2007
I just got back from a two week visit to Scotland, where I worked with the guys in the European Titleist Tour Van at the Scottish Open at Loch Lomond and The Open Championship at Carnoustie. I took a lot of pictures while I was over there, so be sure to click through the photo gallery. I’m back in the workshop in Carlsbad this week getting caught up, then I’ll return to the Tour next week to help the guys get ready for the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and PGA Championship. See you then!

Can you buy a Titleist Vokey hat like Bob Vokey is wearing in the pictures?
No, this particular style of hat is not currently sold in golf shops.
Do Tour players have the spine of their shaft located?
None of our Titleist ambassadors spine their shafts.
Great photos of the nature and the courses back in Europe. It is great to see how passionate Bob is with the Tour players to help them get the best performance.
How many weeks per year is Bob Vokey on the road with the Tour? Regards from Stockholm, Sweden!
Voke is on the road about every other week throughout the season, on average.
GREAT photos…looks like the rain suit got a good workout. What were most of the guys having done to their wedges?
Is the Open Championship one of the more demanding tournaments due to the different course conditions? If players are changing specs on their equipment, what are they changing to?
What is Ben Curtis’ setup regarding irons? He appears to have a 695CB 3-iron, a previous model 4-iron, and 735 mid and short irons. What a beautiful set nonetheless.
You are correct…Ben has a 695CB 3-iron, 690.CB 4- and 5-irons, and 735.CM for the rest of the set.
Do any of the pros have different grips on their wedges, compared to their irons and/or woods (i.e., rib vs round, 60R vs mid-size)?
