Adam Scott visits the Tour Van

Titleist ambassador Adam Scott visited the Tour van last week in Memphis to pick up a new PT 906F2 fairway in preparation for this week’s U.S. Open. Adam posted his second top ten finish over the past two weeks at the Stanford St. Jude Championship and the Memorial Tournament. He’ll look to keep that momentum going when he tees it up Thursday at Oakmont Country Club in suburban Pittsburgh.

Takin’ it to the Tour

We get a lot of comments on the blog about how awesome it must be to work in the Titleist Tour Van. Well, we won’t lie to you. It is pretty awesome! But just so you don’t think it’s all fun and games, we took a few photos in Memphis to show you how we actually spend most of our time on Tour. Enjoy! Click here to view the pictures…

Inside the Locker Room

One of the first things that Titleist Tour Representatives do every week is head into the locker room to stock our players’ lockers with golf balls and whatever else they may need (hats, shoes, gloves, etc.). We’ll typically give each player three dozen Pro V1 or Pro V1x, unless they specify that they want more. Here are a couple of shots from inside the locker room at the TPC Southwind, site of the Stanford St. Jude Championship.

He’ll be looking for another strong finish this week when play gets underway at the TPC Southwind layout. Check out these photos of Fredrik and his gear.

Charles Warren Demonstrates a Total Body Pre-Round Warmup Routine on the Next GFA

On the next all new episode of Golf Fitness Academy, co-hosts Dr. Greg Rose and Dave Phillips are joined by PGA Tour professional Charles Warren and Randy Myers, Director of Fitness at the Sea Island Resort. Together the group demonstrates a total body warmup routine to target the key muscles in the golf swing and prepare golfers before they head out on the course.

Charles, currently ranked among the top 20 players in driving distance, underwent shoulder surgery in 2001 and has worked closely with his trainers and instructors to develop a more standardized warmup program, integrating fitness and golf preparation exercises to rehabilitate and strengthen the shoulder while also working on flexibility before he goes out on the course. Charles demonstrates his program, which features a three step stretching and flexibility routine beginning with an Upper and Lower Body Warmup which focuses on dynamic movements, then Stretching Drills for the back, shoulders and legs and finally Tubing Drills which enhance flexibility.
