Billy Mayfair with the New 907 Drivers

Titleist ambassador Billy Mayfair was working with both the new 907D1 and 907D2 drivers today on the practice range. After playing the Pro Titanium 905R for 13 of the first 14 tournaments this year, he has had the 907D1 in the bag for three consecutive weeks, which included a T13 finish at the Memorial.
“Both are very good,” said Mayfair after hitting the drivers for a good 15 minutes. “With the 907D1, I drive the ball a lot straighter and it keeps the ball flight down for me which is great when the fairways are hard and fast. I’m working with the 907D2 to use on days when it’s wet and soft because I get more carry distance. I really like both.”

What type of shaft is he using in the 907D2?
Billy has a Graphite Design prototype shaft in his 907D2 driver.
I take it the shaft in Billy Mayfair’s 907D1 is a Graphite Design Pershing?
It’s actually a Graphite Design Purple Ice (45″, 75g, X-flex).
I have heard about black Tour-only Purple Ice shafts. I would have assumed as a Purple Ice it would be purple. It looks just like a Pershing.
