Update from Barrington

June 19th, 2007

Update from the CVS Charity Classic where Titleist ambassadors Zach Johnson and Brad Faxon hold a two shot lead through 11 holes. The Titleist golf ball team of Chris DiMarco and Camilo Villegas are closing fast, however, thanks to a birdie by Villegas at the par-4 12th. Villegas hit a driver and wedge to about 10-feet to move his team to 15-under. The Quigley team is also making a move, now at 14-under through 13 holes. Stay tuned for the dramatic conclusion from Rhode Island Country Club.

Camilo prepares to hit his wedge shot into the 12th green.

Camilo’s wedge shot ended up about 10-feet from the hole, leaving this birdie putt.

Camilo picks his ball up out of the cup after making the 10-footer for birdie. Partner Chris DiMarco looks on.

Titleist ambassador Peter Jacobsen’s team closed fast after a slow start. Starting the day at 4-under, they were only 5-under through 11 before reeling off five consecutive birdies on 12 through 16 and another on 18. They didn’t finish near the top, but they finished with a final nine 29. Too bad it wasn’t a 45-hole tournament.
