Adam Scott’s New Pro V1

Adam is playing the New Pro V1 golf ball, and if you’ve seen the new Titleist commercial, he says he likes to play #9’s. Attached are a couple of pics from yesterday’s practice round featuring Adam and his custom numbered golf ball that he uses to distinguish his from other PGA Tour players. With the introduction of the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x in February, Titleist began shipping more dozens with high numbers (5-8) to golf shops.

I’d love to get a ball number 11. So there is no way possible for that to happen?

Why is Adam such a cool guy?
Any reason in particular why he chose the number nine over a lower number or another higher number?
Adam plays the #9 balls for two of his favorite sportsmen who happen to wear #9: Rugby player George Gregan and Footballer Renaldo.

Can mere mortals order custom-printed Pro V1 golf balls? I’d love to get them numbered with 0s!
In order to maintain a consistent look to the Titleist nameplate, the decision was made recently to no longer accept golf ball order requests for custom play numbers.
Is it possible to order dozens of the same number? Like 7?
Yes, it is possible to get dozens ordered with the same play number (1-8 only).
Is there a reason for Adam playing with number 9s? Thanks for your reply!
Adam plays with the custom-printed number 9 on his Pro V1 to help distinguish his golf balls from the other golf balls in play each week.
Is the new Pro V1 more like the old Pro V1x? Is that why Scott switched?

I recently got on a launch monitor and found out that I have on average a 100mph swing speed and around a 14.2°-14.4° launch angle with my 905R. The range balls that were used are limited flight and I was told that with a driver they spin around 300-500 rpms more. I had around a 2800-3000 spin rate. I have been playing the new Pro V1x but I was wondering if the Pro V1 would be better suited for me. Thanks.
Our fitting methodologies, as outlined at FittingWorks.com, are based on the premise of being fit with the ball you play. As such, it is difficult to make a correlation between the launch conditions achieved using limited-flight range balls and the launch conditions you would achieve using a New Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x. Additional factors you might consider when choosing which golf ball to play, aside from spin rate on driver shots, are feel and playability with short- and mid-iron shots, spin rate on all iron shots, trajectory, and durability.
Why does Adam prefer playing the Pro V1 over the Pro V1x? With his high speed swing doesn’t the Pro V1x fit him better?
Mark, it’s true that Adam generates a high swing speed. However, his natural swing generates average launch angle and a lower spin rate and he feels that on certain shots the Pro V1x does not give him enough spin. He also prefers the softer feel that he gets with the Pro V1.
