Robert Karlsson and his Scotty Cameron by Titleist putter

Following up on the question from Jack McMahon, we caught up with Robert Karlsson on the range to talk to him about the specs of his Scotty Cameron by Titleist putter. He uses a Studio Stainless Newport 2 putter that is 37″ with 4° of loft. Robert is 6′5″ so all of his clubs are extra length. Robert also picked up his purple Custom Shop headcover at the Cameron Putter Studio during the week of the WGC-Accenture Match Play. He told us that he doesn’t like when putter headcovers lose their color in the sun and he also doesn’t like when they’re boring. That’s why he’s got purple. For the record, he previously had a pink putter headcover.
This is Robert’s first time playing Doral since a round seventeen years ago just after he turned professional. So he’s looking forward to the tournament this week.

Hi, what are Robert’s swingweights and lie angles? Thanks.
Robert’s irons are 1° upright on the lie angles, with swingweights in the D-7 to D-7.5 range. Robert uses Dynamic Gold SL shafts in his irons to help keep the weight down somewhat on his overlength clubs.
I am 6ft 9in tall and have custom irons that are 3 inches over standard. How do I find a good putter length and driver length? Do you have any suggestions or should I get them 3 inches over as well?
Our suggestion would be to visit an Authorized Titleist FittingWorks Partner to get fitted for your clubs.
What length shaft does Karlsson use in his driver? I have the Grafalloy Blue X shaft also and I am 6′5″ too…so I was curious.
Robert has a standard 45″ shaft in his driver. His irons, however, are 1.5″ over standard.

Will Robert Karlsson be playing a lot on the PGA Tour in 2008? He has always been one of my favorite European players and I would love to see more of him on the PGA Tour.
Robert is still committed to playing on the European Tour full-time. Plan on seeing him, however, at all of the big events on the PGA Tour, to include the major championships and the World Golf Championships.
I noticed that for the week of Doral Robert Karlsson had both a Titliest 907D2 and a 905R with the same style shaft. Does he get similar distance, spin and launch conditions with both types of drivers or is one of the two better for his launch and swing?
Robert is still testing his 907D2 driver to get all of his specs dialed in, so when the tournament started on Thursday, he once again trusted his 905R. The 907D2, with its advanced traditional geometry, tapered face insert, low mass crown and hosel, and 8% larger face area, is designed with an enhanced MOI to provide long distance with shot workability.

I would like to know the specs of Robert’s clubs. The article says that he’s 6′5″ and his clubs are extra length. How much longer are they than standard (especially irons)? And what is their swingweight? I’m also about 6′6″ and I’m looking for some input for clubfitting.

That has to be one of the coolest Scotty Cameron headcovers I have ever seen.
Robert plays with the 695MB irons (4-P). He also carries a 735.CM 2-iron and three Vokey Design wedges.
What set of irons does Robert Karlsson have in play this week?
